Our Story
Formation Of LuvForward
Hello, I’m Meg Pope, the founder of LuvForward. Before founding this company, I worked as a registered nurse with a total of 21 years in healthcare. I hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a current CCRN certification. I spent most of my career in the ICU, with the last two years helping lead so many amazing fellow healthcare workers on a cardiac and urology floor. My journey took turn when I was diagnosed with a form of Parkinsonism, neurological brain disorder at the Mayo Clinic the summer of 2024.
In September of 2024, my health significantly declined, taking me away from the bedside and transitioning me to be at home full-time. During this challenging transition, I remained determined to heal. I began removing toxins from our home, exploring herbal remedies, and incorporating teas into my daily life. This transformative process allowed me to reduce reliance on medications, truly inspiring me to help others in a more natural and holistic. Thus, LuvForward was born.
Background
My connection to nature began as a child, exploring, working, and hunting alongside my father on our family farm in Richmond, MO. Through harvesting deer for over 23 years to provide sustenance for our family, I discovered that the tallow was an invaluable part of the deer being overlooked. So I started making soaps, lotions, and cooking with it.This discovery originally got me into working with all things tallow.
Over the years, I have cultivated multiple gardens, growing everything I could, with a deep passion for herbs and flowers—my favorite the rose.
